Here's one of my favorite passages from the Bible. What's yours?

  • Psalm 37:4-6 (NIV) Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.

Volleyball Rocks!

Love to play volleyball and have coached in the past so here are a few very basic tips for those of you who would like to improve your game. Let me know your favorite volleyball tip too.

  • Technique is more important than strength. If you learn the correct way to hit the ball, the tiniest person can play better than the biggest hulk.

  • Your mind is your greatest asset on the court. One of the best ways to improve your game is to believe that you can get to every ball. Sometimes people see a ball shanked off in another direction and they give up without trying. You will amaze yourself by how many times you will be able to hit a shanked ball if you believe you can. Even if you only touch it, that will help you with your confidence and you'll get there the next time.
